We are FabLab.SH, Kiel’s first open hightech workshop that can be used by everyone. As part of the opencampus.sh education cluster, we see ourselves as a place to learn, try things out and share knowledge.
The idea of the “sharing economy” is also important to us. Instead of purchasing devices yourself, which then stand around largely unused, they can be used by many people in the FabLab and therefore more often.
Open Lab Day
Our Open Lab Day takes place every Thursday. On this day, you have the opportunity to explore everything at your leisure and get advice from experts from various specialist areas. If you are then motivated to implement your own projects, we will be happy to support you with our know-how from the idea to the finished part.

The workshop
In our FabLab, we not only offer machinery and workstations for wood and metalworking, but also plenty of space for networking, exchanging ideas and working together – whether at a group workstation or over a cup of coffee in our small but lovely lounge area.
Anyone with an interest in learning, prototyping and designing is welcome. Creative people, designers, craftspeople, engineers, entrepreneurs, technology enthusiasts and hobby inventors can work on their projects here on 120 square meters of creative space with professional tools ranging from 3D printers and laser cutters to cordless screwdrivers and grinders.
